CHESHIRE HILL.  At 2030 the Regt numbering 5 officers and 35 Other Ranks marched out of the
Bivouac 19-N-8 leaving behind a detachment of Other Ranks under Major J. Whyte.  Bivouaced for
night at CHESHIRE RIDGE.

The Regt less 13 men of the Machine Gun Sqdn under 2nd Lt. ?? Tingey was relieved from the trenches at
Cheshire Ridge ANZAC at 1400 by the 27th Bttn. AIF under the command Lieut.  Cal.   At 1900 the Regt moved
off from the Bivouac to the pier at ANZAC Cove from where  they embarked upon the transport “OSMANIEH”
for Lemnos.

Heavy rain during night and morning. In the fore noon the weather cleared slightly, to be followed
 by a heavy downpour about 1200 which continued during the afternoon.  At 1600 orders were
received that camp would be moved the following day to the foot of the hill N. of the present camp.
