From the 1st to 22nd January the Regiment carried out training operations at ZEITOUN Camp.  The Regiment moved from ZEITOUN CAMP on 23rd January on 23rd January 1916 at 0909 to march to BELBEIS

The Regiment marched complete with the exception of 1st line Transport vehicles which were to entrain for destination.  The Regiment bought up the rear of the column and reached NAWA at 1545.  Weather fine during the day but rained all night.  No casualties left NAWA at 0806  24/1/16  Strength  Off 24  O/R 500,  Horses 638 and marched to BELBEIS  Reached bivouac at 1540 Heavy rain during the night Casualties  Nil  Horses 2
Left BELBEIS at 0805 25/1/16 and marched to ADUL HAMAD.  Strength Off 24  O/R500  Horses 636 reached bivouac at 1300  Weather showery  Rained all night.  Casualties  Nil.  Left ADUL HAMAD at 0830 26/1/16 and marched to KASSASSINE  Strength Off 24  O/R 500 Horses 636  Reached bivouac at 1600  Casualties  3 Horses lame.  Light rain during the night.  Left KASSASSINE at 0839 and marched to ABOU SUEIR.  Strength Off 24  O/R 500 Horses 636 (3)  Reached  Bivouac at 1230.  Reviewed by Army Corps Commander.  Casualties  O/R 4 Sick to Hospital  Horses 1 entr?????  1 Dead pneumonia.
Heavy rain in Evening, all night and next morning.  Left ABOU SUEIR at 0836  28/1/16
Strength Officers 24,  O/R494  Horses 631  Reached MOASCAR at 1400.  Weather Cold  Casualties  O/Rs 494 Horses 631.
Left MOASCAR at 0835 29/1/16 and marched to SERAPEUM.  Strength  Officers 24  O/R 491  Horses 629.  Weather Fine.
Reached Camp at 1300.  Camp had been marked out and tents pitched by Advance Party. Casualties Nil.
30/31st January preparing Camp.
