1st. & 2nd.        Settling down in Camp Regimental Instructional Courses in the Lewis Gun &Signalling cancelled until further orders.  First lot of men left for Leave to Port Said.

3rd.                   Five ‘MEN’ proceeded to SCHOOL of INSTRUCTION at ZEITOUN to undergo a course in LEWIS GUNS and three men for a signalling Course.

4th.                   Horses to be exercised for half an hour every morning until further  orders.

5th.                   Maj.  SPRAGG C. R. Detached to ANZAC REST CAMP as O/C Camp.

6th.                   Further lot of ‘Men’ left on leave to Port Said.
                          One Officer and Twenty six other ranks proceeded to Hill 70 to draw  fifty remounts.

7th.                   CAMP ROUTINE.  Remounts issued to Units.  Lieut. BIRD and sixty four other ranks marched in from Training Regiment.

8th.                   No classes of Instruction.  Usual routine carried on.

9th.                   Classes of Instruction carried on.

10th.  to 15th. Usual Routine.

16th.                 Marched in from Training Regiment 2nd. Lieut FOLEY L. R. & posted to 2nd. SQD.

19th.                 Eight Officers and 200 other Ranks left for SIDI BISHA under command of Capt. SCOTT J. O. To remain there for seven clear days.

20th. + 21st.    Usual Routine.

22nd.                Marched in from Hospital Capt. Sommerville A. H.

23rd.                 From School of Instruction five Other Ranks  Three gained 1st. Class Instructors Certificates & two 1st. Class Certificates.

24th. 25th. 26th.             Usual Routine.  Parry on Leave returned 26th.

27th.                 Party of Eight Officers and 200 Other Ranks left on leave to SIDI BISHA Rest Camp.  Maj ARMSTRONG J. A. In charge.
28th.  29th. 30th.    Usual Routine.
31st.                           Remainder of Baggage sent away Romani during the morning and from there by Rail to KANTARA.
                                    Camp cleaned thoroughly.
                                    Regiment left BIR ET MALER at 1700 and proceeded to SWING BRIDGE REST CAMP. Arrived at HILL 70 just before 2300 remained here until 0300 in order to spell the horses and feed up.          

OCT. 1st.                     Arrived at SWING BRIDGE CAMP 2030 and found CAMP already pitched and breakfast ready for all RANKS.
